don.fitzsimons@prodigy.netI stock grocery at overnight for a company that is determined to compete with Walmart all the way down to reducing the wages and benefits of its employees. Hooray!
I play the trombone in two community-service, volunteer organizations. Since our usual venues are nursing homes and retirement centers, our audience has already suffered profound hearing loss and probably couldn't walk out on us even if they hadn't.
I'm married: Two children of my own, two step-sons, all of whom are adults. My second wife has a beauty and smart granddaughter and we have had a close relationship, but she is getting older and increasingly aware that I have trouble with reality, informing me that I better stay away from her school so that her friends never see me. (this is true: I'm not just screwing with reality.)
I bear great sadness and can't resist picking open my emotional scabs about my divorce eighteen years ago and an infatuation in which nothing actually happened. It doesn't feel good, but it feels normal.
I'm 'fitz' on the grex bbs. I graduated from Michigan State University years ago, but I hung around taking philosophy courses for years afterward, not ever getting another degree in spite of having as many credits as a doctoral canidate.
I am who I say I am. I am in the telephone book. that is what I look like, although I don't normall wear a suit outside of performances.
